in association with Society of Pharmacognosy

KLE University’s College of Pharmacy, Belagavi, organized Two days “National Convention on “Newer Approaches for developments & Promotion of Natural Products” in association with Society of Pharmacognosy. Dr. Prabhakar B. Kore, Hon’ble Chancellor, KLE University & Chairman, KLE Society, inaugurated the convention with lighting the lamp. In his inaugural speech he urged to research scientists and professors to utilize the existing technology for the production of quality and effective medicines. Dr. V.K.Dixit, President Society of Pharmacognosy, gave his presidential remarks on the occasion. Dr. S.P.Vyas, Professor, Dept. of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Former Vice-Chancellor, H.S.Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar, MP, delivered key note address on the convention theme.

Dr. C.K.Kokate, Vice-Chancellor, KLE University, Belagavi, felicitated, Dr. N.R. Seth & Dr. A N.Kalia for their contribution in the field of herbal research. Dr. U.K.Patil, presented the Annual Report of Society of Pharmacognosy. During the inaugural function best “State Branch Award” has been announced and it was given the Karnataka State. There were about 20 exhibitors who displayed their herbal products during the convention around 350 delegates participated from 13 different states of India, who are working in the field of production & promotion of herbal drugs. Dr. Sunil S.Jalalpure, Organizing Secretary, welcomed the gathering and Principal Dr. V.P.Rasal, proposed the vote of thanks.
